My birthday is approaching in June! I thought in lieu of presents this year, I would love to support a cause near and dear to me.
Growing up, it was support from caring school administrators, teachers, and nonprofits (like CISLA) that made it possible for me to graduate high school, ready for higher education and meaningful employment.
To this day, however, the celebrations are what I remember most! Seeing my family, peers, and mentors cheer me on sent a clear message that people care, that people want me to succeed, and that I can lean on others for support in the challenges ahead.
I'd love to send this message to our graduating seniors this year with a proper send-off into the rest of their lives.
